Jeanne Dobie was educated at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art (now the Philadelphia College of Art) and served on the faculty of Moore College of Art, Philadelphia, until 1981. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art and is an elected member of both the American Watercolor Society (AWS) and the National Watercolor Society (NWS).
