The Greenlight Dictionary has been adapted from a well established Chambers dictionary specifically for use in New Zealand. The aim of the dictionary is to provide all the information a family needs in the most straightforward terms. Over 10,000 look-up words give wide coverage, including definitions of words used in subjects such as mathematics and science. Words are picked out in colour and the alphabet is printed down the side of the page to show the reader where they are. Examples of the word in context are included in many entries, helping to identify both the meaning and how the word is used.Further assistance with language is provided by clear, coloured parts of speech (noun, verb, etc), designed to increase awareness and understanding of concepts. The inclusion of the plurals of nouns and past tenses of verbs make such inflections easy to identify and spell.
