Author description

Ben Brown writes children’s books, non-fiction and short stories for children and adults. He has been a publisher and writer since 1992, collaborating with illustrator Helen Taylor on numerous publications. Ben Brown was awarded the Maori Writer’s Residency at the Michael King Writers’ Centre for 2011.

Helen Taylor is an award-winning children’s book illustrator and exhibiting artist with works in private collections around New Zealand and overseas. She has been twice shortlisted for the LIANZA Children’s Book Awards and in 2006 won Best Picture Book in the New Zealand Post Children’s Book Awards with her book A Booming in the Night.
