Told in the style of a Māori myth, this is the story of a young Kauri sapling as it grows and changes and watches the world around it evolve. From other plants, to birds, to Māori, to settlers, to industrialisation and beyond, and then when the Kauri is very old the birds will lift it up and carry it away
