This first book, illustrated in colour by Ngai Tahu artist Jenny Rendall, comprises poems with diverse themes including love and gratitude, Te Reo and Maori cultural concepts, and even bad behaviour. It includes a CD on which Hinemoana performs six of her poems and a song. matuhi | needle is published jointly with Perceval Press, the California publisher owned and operated by Pilar Perez and Viggo Mortensen.
