DescriptionA book of New Zealand wildflower illustrations. Sheila Cunningham had always been interested in drawing and painting. She began painting wildflowers in 1980 and seven years later had amassed 170 paintings. She was also an accomplished writer and photographer and wrote "Hawke's Bay for the Happy Wanderer" in 1983. The paintings in this book have been named by botanists and the text has been written by Sheila's husband, Ashley Cunningham since her death in 1988. Ashley Cunningham is a retired forester who specialised in mountainland management. He is now the caretaker/owner of the 3 hectare arboretum that he and Sheila established at Bay View in 1960. |
