Chaucer's most famous (albiet unfinished) work, presented in a modern English verse translation which succeeds in retaining the charm of the original while ensuring the text is accessible to a general readership. This edition also includes plates from the celebrated Kelmscott Chaucer, which was produced in 1896 by pre-Raphaelite artists William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones and inspired by the illuminated manuscripts of Chaucer's time.
