Author description

Swedish Ulf Stark has published almost 30 much-loved books for children and young adults, and as written for film, TV and theatre. Books by Ulf Stark have been translated into more than 20 languages, and he has received many international awards. He has twice been nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award and in 2005, for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Anna Hoglund has illustrated a number of Ulf Stark's books. She lives and works in New York. Winner of the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis, awarded to authors of children's and teenage literature for outstanding works.
