Healthy Dairy-free Eating

Author(s): Mini C & Tanya Carr

Cooking/Wine

Dairy-free eating is now an extremely popular choice. Around 60 percent of people are sensitive to milk and lactose, but cutting out dairy and avoiding hidden sources can be incredibly difficult to do. Many others are simply looking to follow a more Eastern way of eating and to include more dairy-free options in their diet for health and taste benefits.

This is the first cookbook to offer 100 recipes that have been created by a chef to provide inventive adaptations of popular dishes such as quiche, lasagne, fish pie, ice cream and cheesecake, while the Asian-style dishes provide further inspiration for healthy dairy-free eating.

Dietician Tanya Carr explains the difference between lactose intolerance and milk allergy, and discusses their symptoms and how they are diagnosed. She also answers the popular questions about whether dairy can be related to symptoms of some conditions such as headaches, general fatigue, arthritis and eczema.
