When Jack Kenny's Aunt Eugenie dies leaving him her isolated property Warrah Station, Jack and his sixteen year old son, Richard go there to have a look around. They find an old hut, its entrance buried under sand. While his father begins the excavation, Richard laments beings out in the middle of nowhere on such a stinking hot day, when he could've been down on the beach with his mates. His petulance vanishes when they finally manage to get the door open. Nothing could have prepared them for what they find within the dark confines of that hut: a pile of what appears to be human bones, and three mummified corpses of unknown origin.
