He left to join his family's restoration business, W.J. Cook & Sons. John McGowan has written about home maintenance and improvement throughout his career. He is an author and contributor to many newspapers, magazines and partworks. He has consulted, written and collaborated on countless books, including the Terence Conran DIY by Design and The Reader's Digest Manual. Stephen Corbett has had a successful career in professional woodworking design and construction for more than 20 years. A skilled craftsman, he not only makes beautiful furniture and wooden artefacts, but also plans home improvements, storage solutions and major design installations.
