Ron Klinger is the author of more than 60 excellent bridge books, several of which have been translated into other languages. Ron Klinger first played for Australia in 1970 when he was a member of the team that won the FAR EAST OPEN TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP. Since then he has competed in the world championships in 1976, 1978, 1980, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1993, 2000 and every year from 2003 to 2013. He won the FAR EAST OPEN TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP in 1985 and again in 1987. In 1989 he was a member of the Australian Open Team which reached the semi-finals of the Bermuda Bowl, the WORLD OPEN TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP. In 2006 he was a member of the team that won the ASIA PACIFIC SENIORS TEAMS. In addition to the numerous state and national titles to his credit, he is an Australian Grand Master and a World Bridge Federation International Master.
